Obituary for Allan Louis Bardoel

On the warm sunny day of June 21st, 2008 our dear Allan was suddenly taken home. Although we are deeply saddened by our sudden loss, we are consoled in knowing his heart was happy. We are thankful his last hours were filled with love, friendship, and happiness. Allan was born in Vermilion, Alberta on December 7, 1966 and raised on the family farm north of Vermilion. Growing up he proved to be a hard worker who also enjoyed fun times at the end of the day. The farm life may have also lead him to his career of welding which took him on various moves across the province; from Vermilion to Bonnyville area, a beautiful home at Marie Lake, then to Red Deer and Grand Prairie area. Al finally settled on his beautiful, peaceful, property along the river at Little Smokey, Alberta; this is where he enjoyed his last two years. We will always remember Big Al for his funny personality and carefree ways, his love of children and of being a super Uncle. When Uncle Al was visiting, everyone had a great time. If he wasn’t starting a water fight with the kids he was either teasing or visiting with us adults. He had the luck of being a loved step-dad to Little Al for a short time and we had the luck of having a great brother and a wonderful son for a time which will never be long enough. At the workplace Allan was known for his knowledge, skill, and lay it on the line attitude. Allan will be greatly missed by all that had the opportunity to know him. Memories of Allan will be forever treasured by his parents Louis and Fay Bardoel, by all his siblings: Pete (Mavis), Ken (Roxie), Terry (Bonnie), Tim (Dorothy), Rosalie (Jeff), Marvin (Lottie), Anne (Greg), Emily, Elaine (Garry), Diane (Wyatt), Yvonne (Jim), Sylvia, and Mary-Lou (Travis), and by all of his nieces and nephews, and his special friend and her daughter. Allan is pre-deceased by his step-son Allan and daughter Samantha Fay Bardoel. May we all find peace in knowing that our Allan has been re-united with some special little souls and that they watch over us all.
